A Brief Overview
The Lead Program Manager, Business Conduct and Ethics is a leader on the TriNet Business Conduct and Ethics ("BC&E") team. The successful candidate will be able to review and respond to colleague questions, concerns, and gifts, entertainment, and/or conflict of interest disclosures. The successful candidate will also be able to conduct high-quality investigations into allegations of unethical or illegal conduct, will possess a sound knowledge of corporate governance principles, laws, and regulatory frameworks, and will be able to contribute to BC&E's programs relating to enterprise-wide ethics and compliance policies (e.g., the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics), Code training, employee communications (e.g., the BC&E Insight series), ethics ambassadors, Ethics Champion Award, case management, ethical culture surveys, reporting to Board members and others.

As the Lead Program Manager, you will play a critical role in promoting ethical behavior, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, and investigating allegations of misconduct. You will lead complex investigations into allegations of ethical violations, fraud, misconduct, conflicts of interest, and other compliance-related matters with no supervision. You will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing guidance and recommendations to senior management regarding ethics and compliance matters, as well as serving as a liaison on BC&E matters with other internal and external stakeholders.
What you will do

• Review, respond, and/or triage questions or concerns of varying complexity in a timely and professional manner.

• Review and address gifts, entertainment, and/or conflict of interest disclosures that may be received from colleagues at all levels within the organization.

• Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

• Conduct investigations into allegations of misconduct and non-compliance across the organization, including allegations of ethical violations, fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, and other compliance-related matters.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data, documents, and electronic evidence, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and adherence to legal and privacy requirements.

• Conduct interviews with witnesses, subjects, and other relevant individuals using effective interviewing techniques, eliciting information and assessing credibility.

• Prepare detailed investigative reports, documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations for remedial actions, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and confidentiality.

• Independently conduct root cause analysis of incidents to prevent future incidents of misconduct or non-compliance and to enhance, where appropriate, internal controls and/or the overall control environment.

• Evaluate and analyze compliance issues, identifying patterns, trends, and areas of potential vulnerability, and recommending proactive measures to mitigate risks.

• Assist with annual Code refresh and/or annual Code training refresh.
  Contribute to quarterly BC&E Insight series and/or other BC&E-related colleague communications.

• Help manage ethics ambassadors’ program and/or Ethics Champion Award program.

• Take on administrator responsibility for BC&E’s case management program/system, including any upgrades, vendor swaps, etc.

• Participate in ethical culture survey administration.

• Assist with pulling and reporting data on BC&E program, whether for members of the Board or other constituents.

• Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to ethics, compliance, fraud, and corruption, ensuring investigations comply with legal requirements.

• Assist in management and support for TriNet Policy Governance Framework and collaborate with other members of the Corporate Compliance team to develop and enhance policies, procedures, and controls to promote ethical behavior and ensure compliance.

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including the People Team, Legal, Internal Audit, and Senior Management, providing guidance, support, and recommendations on ethics and compliance matters.

• Assist in the development and delivery of ethics and compliance training programs and communication materials to raise awareness and foster a culture of integrity.

• Identify opportunities to enhance the ethics and compliance program, recommend process improvements, and contribute to the implementation of best practices.

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior members of the BC&E team, fostering their professional growth and development.

• Networks with key contacts both internal and external to the company to sustain and expand upon productive working relationships.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Juris Doctorate preferred.

Experience Qualifications

Typically 8+ years experience in corporate ethics and compliance investigations and program support, including experience leading complex investigations in a global corporate environment.

Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices related to corporate governance, compliance, and ethical issues.

Licenses and Certifications

Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred.
or Leading Professional in Ethics and Compliance (LPEC) preferred.

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $89,600.00 to $168,000.00.  All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta.  All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience. 
 

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
