The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Lead Cloud Architect supporting the SABRE contract/proposal at Hanscom AFB, MA. This position is on a future contract pending award announcement.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex cloud and cloud infrastructure solutions that meet Government requirements.

  • Provide scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure to support Government needs.

  • Lead the DevSecOps team in developing automation tools and processes to streamline software development and deployment.

  • Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to detect and diagnose cloud infrastructure and software application issues.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to architects and engineers across teams.

  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and common services, providing recommendations for their use.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with all security and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with developers, researchers, and testers to ensure teams meet milestones and deadlines.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Managed Service Providers, and other required vendors.

  • Implement cloud architecture standards and best practices to align with program goals.

  • Provide leadership to ensure infrastructure supports the software development life cycle, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

Clearance Required:

  • DoD Top Secret/SCI

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • BS degree and 8 or more years of experience in AWS cloud architecture with public cloud providers. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • 5 or more years of experience in a leadership role.

  • 2 or more years of experience working in a DoD or Federal Government environment

  • Strong knowledge of FedRAMP+ environments, cloud security, and compliance requirements

  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II or above certification required (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security)

  • Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git

  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions

  • Experience leading DevSecOps teams and integrating automation tools and CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong understanding of network architecture, identity and access management, and cloud security frameworks.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

  • Experience implementing zero-trust cloud architectures

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
