About This Role
The Commercial Corporate & Investment Bank Technology (CCIBT) Infrastructure Solutions organization is seeking a Lead Citrix & VM Engineer to own, optimize, and modernize virtualized compute environments supporting highly regulated, large-scale CCIBT workloads. This role combines deep engineering expertise across Citrix, virtualization platforms, automation, and infrastructure lifecycle management, along with the leadership expectations of a CCIBT engineering lead.
You will partner closely with developers, platform teams, and infrastructure engineering groups to eliminate operational toil, harden the environment, and ensure the virtual compute ecosystem is resilient, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise technology strategy.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00

This role combines deep engineering expertise across Citrix, virtualization platforms, automation, and infrastructure lifecycle management, along with the leadership expectations of a CCIBT engineering lead.
You will partner closely with developers, platform teams, and infrastructure engineering groups to eliminate operational toil, harden the environment, and ensure the virtual compute ecosystem is resilient, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Citrix Engineering & Architecture
- Lead engineering, design, and implementation of Citrix environments (e.g., Virtual Apps & Desktops, StoreFront, ADC/NetScaler).
- Consult with operations to optimize application delivery performance, session reliability, user-experience tuning, and break/fix patterns.
- Assist in maintaining Citrix policies, images, provisioning strategies, and environment baselines.
Virtualization & Compute Engineering
- Lead engineering for large-scale VM environments, including templates, automation, and performance tuning.
- Design and operate scalable VM hosting that integrates with CCIBT's infrastructure strategy and NGDC modernization initiatives.
- Evaluate highly complex VM and compute issues and provide engineering-level triage and solution direction.
Infrastructure Engineering Leadership
- Drive high-impact engineering initiatives across CCIBT, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide technology standards and modernization roadmaps.
- Make engineering decisions in multifaceted situations, leveraging strong domain knowledge and solution design experience.
- Lead project documentation, engineering design artifacts, runbooks, and readiness activities.
- Monitor engineering schedules, deliverables, environment health, and platform KPIs.
- Partner with developers and platform engineers to remove repetitive operational tasks and streamline developer/infrastructure interactions.
- 5+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of defining infrastructure solutions
- 5+ years' experience with cloud-based architecture both on prem and public
- 5+ years' experience Strong understanding of Service-Oriented and microservices architectures
- 4-year BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in provisioning, operating, and maintaining VMs and Citrix environments
- Must be able to work on multiple projects and consistently meet project deadlines
- Interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels and across disciplines
- Detail-oriented, strong work ethic and high standard of excellence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Recent experience in a collaborative Agile working environment (Scrum preferred)
- Deep understanding of VM technologies and familiarity with data center exit strategies
