Position Purpose: Oversees the change enablement process and the release of changes to Centene production systems, provides support to process end users creating and managing production changes, and helps ensures that all associated/required change governance activities have been completed for all qualifying changes. Also supports ongoing process usage analysis and associated reporting to IT leadership on all change process metrics.

  • Assists in the execution of change practice projects and takes a lead role in executing practice projects from end-to-end as well as coordinating other team resources as needed
  • Aids with the coordination, planning, scheduling, control, and implementation of production changes
  • Reviews submitted change requests for compliance, accuracy, and completeness and participates in all ongoing change practice change governance activities
  • Assists with the setup and administration of the change control process in the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool as well as the training and adoption of the process with end users
  • Provides communication and information, including relevant release change reports and documentation as required to support ongoing daily operations and reporting requirements for area leadership
  • Participates in ongoing monitoring and review of the change process with the IT change and release manager and helps to identify and recommend and implement approved service and process improvements
  • Monitors change process efficiency and effectiveness by analyzing and reporting process performance information to senior management as required/defined
  • Assists in completing regular audits of the change process and helps to identify process gaps and associated mitigation activities
  • Participates in change control audits and helps to satisfy required audit reporting and interactions with auditors and associated audit entities
  • Analyzes incident occurrences to identify process non-compliance and works to mitigate non-compliance as needed with identified utilizing teams
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:

One or more of the following skills are desired.

  • Knowledge of Other: ITIL change management, service management and/or project management, IT security, patching, compliance, and best practices
  • Experience with IT Service Management; Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Other: an ITIL-based support environment and with IT Service Management (ITSM) systems such as ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of Other: release management
  • Experience with one or more of the following Other: ITIL Foundation or ITIL certificate in release, control and validation

Pay Range: $100,900.00 - $186,800.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
