Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.
This position leads a team of analytics professionals, overseeing the development and delivery of strategic reporting, advanced analytics, and productivity improvement initiatives across Safety, Training and Fleet Organization. With deep expertise in Power BI, LMS, and data modeling, the role ensures high-quality, actionable insights that support long-term planning, and productivity goals. It combines technical leadership with business acumen, driving innovation, data governance, and continuous team development in alignment with evolving organizational priorities.

Essential Functions: 

  • Team Leadership & Development: Supervises, trains, and mentors a team of analytics professionals. Leads upskilling initiatives in Power BI, LMS, and advanced analytics to build a future-ready team. Manages performance, fosters collaboration, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Reporting Systems & Data Expertise: Maintains deep proficiency in business reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, LMS, Maximo, Excel). Ensures consistent use of data from relational databases and enterprise platforms across the organization. 
  • Process Improvement & Business Partnership: Collaborates with business areas to identify and implement data-driven process improvements. Drives initiatives that enhance data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and improve productivity. 
  • Performance Reporting & Metric Design: Oversees the design, build, and maintenance of performance reporting processes and dashboards. Leads the development of new data models and metrics to support strategic goals, operational transparency, and compliance. 
  • Data Collection & Quality Assurance: Collects and organizes performance data from multiple sources. Ensures data is current, accurate, and support external business groups with quality reviews and corrective actions. 
  • Documentation & Continuity Planning: Creates and maintains documentation (e.g., Completion records) for performance metrics and reporting processes to support cross-training, business continuity, and knowledge transfer. 
  • Strategic Reporting, Long-Term & Resource Planning: Prepares and delivers data, reports, and presentations to support business improvement initiatives, regulatory and long-term planning. Supports resource planning efforts by analyzing trends, forecasting needs, and informing budget and staffing decisions. 
  • Innovation & Technology Adoption: Stays current with emerging analytics technologies. Encourages adoption of new tools and methodologies to improve reporting efficiency and insight generation. 
  • Strategic Thinking & Change Leadership: Aligns analytics initiatives with long-term business strategy. Leads change management efforts to help teams adapt to evolving tools, processes, and organizational priorities.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications: 

Technical Knowledge/Skill:  

  • Advanced Analytics Expertise: Strong ability to design, build, analyze, and interpret data using relational databases and data warehouses. Proficient in Power BI, M, Microsoft Suite, LMS platforms, and in developing scalable analytics solutions. 
  • Power BI Mastery: Expert-level skills in Power BI, including data modeling, and dashboard development. Able to lead and train others in Power BI best practices. 
  • Excel & Reporting Tools: Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formulas) and other business reporting software. Skilled in building and modifying reports and databases to support performance analysis. 
  • Mathematics & Conceptual Thinking: Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities, with the ability to conceptualize complex business problems and translate them into actionable insights. 
  • Process Analysis & Improvement: Skilled in using process analysis tools to identify inefficiencies and implement productivity improvements across business areas. 
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the company, industry, and supported business areas. Capable of interpreting and communicating performance results and the progress of business initiatives. 
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to collaborate effectively across departments and present findings to all levels of management, including executive leadership. 
  • Performance Analysis & Modeling: Demonstrated effectiveness in performance analysis, including developing tools and models to explain results and trends. Experienced in creating executive-level presentation materials. 
  • Initiative & Leadership: Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of initiatives while also working collaboratively within and outside the department. 

Education:     

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience.                         

Experience:  

  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years related experience.  Experience in data handling and business process/performance analysis, strongly preferred

Working Conditions:  

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. 
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

$128,440.00-$142,710.00
