- Lead third-party security assessments and provide risk-based recommendations to reduce residual risk.
- Deliver clear, actionable security findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance the third-party security assessment program, with a focus on process optimization and scalability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define security requirements for new third-party integrations.
- Implement continuous security monitoring strategies for the third-party portfolio.
- Support broader security and risk initiatives, including employee training and mentoring of junior team members.
- Participate in critical process analysis and contribute to the evolution of Circle's overall security posture.
What you'll bring to Circle
Core Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk management, compliance, or internal audit.
- Proven ability to communicate security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated strength in evaluating technical controls and determining their effectiveness.
- Strong track record of working independently in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.
- Proficiency using modern tooling, including GenAI platforms, to streamline work and enhance outcomes.
Preferred Requirements
- Background in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience with third-party risk management platforms or GRC tools.
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency fundamentals.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CTPRP, CISA, or CISM.
