We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AMI Exception Lead to join our team. The AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Exception Lead will be responsible for overseeing and resolving exceptions within the AMI system, ensuring accurate and timely meter data flow, and coordinating with various teams to maintain operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of metering infrastructure and data management.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor and identify exceptions within the AMI system.
- Support the AMI opt out process.
- Resolve exceptions between work order mgmt. system and billings system.
- Conduct investigation of relevant meter events and alarms, ensure that meter-related incidents are resolved in a timely and consistent manner.
- Analyze and diagnose issues causing exceptions in meter data.
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve exceptions promptly.
- Perform detailed analysis of exceptions to identify patterns and anomalies.
- Generate reports on exception trends and resolution status.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving data accuracy, process automations, and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, field operations, and customer service, to address and resolve exceptions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AMI exception-related queries and issues.
- Provide support for the maintenance, upgrade, and enhancement of AMI functionality.
- Participate in system testing and validation to ensure data integrity.
- Propose and implement process improvements to reduce the occurrence of exceptions.
- Provide training and guidance to team of analysts on exception management processes.
- Support end-users in understanding and resolving AMI exceptions.
- Establish metrics, SLAs, and KPIs to measure effectiveness of exception management activities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, business administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, related discipline, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Eight (8) plus years’ experience in related role
- Thorough knowledge of AMI systems and utility metering infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
