One of Pine's portfolio companies is a fast-growing Acumatica consulting firm helping manufacturing, distribution, and project-based businesses transform their operations through ERP. Their team is in the middle of a significant growth moment — with a full implementation pipeline and a consulting practice that's scaling fast. They're looking for a Lead Acumatica Consultant with a strong finance and manufacturing background who can step into a functional leadership role, bring senior-level judgment to complex engagements, and help the team deliver at a high level across multiple concurrent projects.
This isn't a pure execution role. The right person brings deep financial process expertise, the technical depth to handle escalations across complex manufacturing environments, the business acumen to engage credibly with executive stakeholders, and the interpersonal range to support and develop the consultants around them with some hands-on project work.
This is a full-time remote role.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and provide functional leadership across 5–6 concurrent Acumatica implementation projects, working with consultant teams responsible for day-to-day execution.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex functional and client issues — de-escalating with C-suite stakeholders when needed and driving issues to resolution.
- Lead requirements gathering and solution design on complex engagements, with particular depth in finance and accounting processes.
- Guide consultants through configuration, testing, data migration, training, and go-live activities — ensuring quality and consistency across workstreams.
- Review and validate deliverables against Statements of Work, BPR documentation, and company implementation methodology.
- Partner with Project Managers to monitor scope, flag risks early, and keep engagements on track.
- Mentor and support less experienced consultants, contributing to the team's technical growth and professional development.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the practice and contribute to methodology, templates, and best-practice documentation.
- Maintain and expand Acumatica certifications and cross-module knowledge, with a focus on complex, multi-workstream implementations.
- Participate in pre-sales conversations and scoping discussions where deep functional expertise is required.
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on Acumatica implementation experience in a consulting or functional ERP role — true project experience, not power user or internal use only.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity: multi-workstream projects, competing priorities, and senior client relationships simultaneously.
- Strong finance and accounting background — able to lead financial process mapping, configuration, and solution design with confidence across complex, multi-entity environments.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similarly complex operational environments — understanding how financial processes intersect with production, inventory, and supply chain.
- Executive presence and exceptional interpersonal skills — comfortable engaging with CFOs, controllers, and operations leaders, including in high-pressure or escalation scenarios.
- Experience mentoring or providing functional guidance to other consultants on a project team.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving outcomes independently.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% within the U.S. and Canada.
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or similarly complex operational environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Acumatica certifications across multiple modules; demonstrated project experience is weighted more heavily than badge count.
- Experience with construction or project-based accounting environments.
