As part of this mission, Chewy Vet Care is hiring a Launch Operations Manager - Chewy Vet Care to help us scale a connected, seamless omnichannel customer experience for clients of our Chewy Vet Care practices. Reporting to the Senior Director, CVC Operations, this leader will be responsible for our new Chewy Vet Care launches. You will act as the primary operations project manager for all launch activities as we scale and ensure that all practices are operationally ready fora timely launch.They are a highly organized individual with an understanding of all aspects of a project in addition to solid project management skills.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced operator with strong general management skills, a passion for inspiring, motivating, developing, and empowering teams. They will also deliver results and scale a rapidly growing business. The Launch Operations Manager will be a key leader and mentor in a high-pace environment, demanding clear and effective leadership.
What You'll Do:
  • Build practice launch standard work cadences for the operations team
  • Build standard processes in the field to develop standardized playbooks.
  • Prepare, publish, distribute and maintain the operations project schedule for all cross-functional collaborators
  • Monitor multiple launch projects progress, incorporate resolutions to potential project delays and communicates project status to leadership on a timely basis
  • Partner with recruiting to participate in new practice interview loops and skills assessment days to attract top veterinary talent.
  • Perform gap analysis between physical processes and future operations needs and have the ability to vet project requests and prioritize them accordingly
  • Build structured prioritization and change management processes
  • Identify and recommend operations improvement opportunities to meet ever increasing business requirements
  • Travel as a launch operations manager is required and depending on the current practice assignment(s) could range up to 80%.

What You'll Need:
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Leadership or equivalent experience (3+ years of Operational Leadership roles)
  • 5+ years' experience functional experience in implementing process changes and managing large complex projects
  • Strong analytics and communications background (e.g., math, statistics, quantitative methods, and verbal and writing proficiency)
  • Superior sense of ownership paired with a high-quality bar and an unshakable growth mindset.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience developing and managing a high-performance team.
  • Demonstrated success in building a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation.
  • Inspirational leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit.

Bonus if you:
  • MBA or equivalent degree
  • Experience leading operations for a multi-site veterinary group OR human health clinic
  • Strong understanding of the overall pet care industry and recent trends
  • In depth experience and understanding of the veterinary profession in the US
