THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead – Last Mile Delivery Operations to oversee and optimize the final stage of our delivery process. This role is critical in ensuring timely, efficient, and customer-centric delivery experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong operational expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for logistics excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of delivery associates, drivers, and support staff to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Track key KPIs (on-time delivery rate, customer satisfaction, delivery accuracy, etc.) and implement performance improvement plans.
- Work with logistics systems and tools to design and improve delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and independent contractors to meet delivery targets and maintain service levels.
- Identify bottlenecks in last-mile operations and implement innovative solutions to improve speed, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize and support the deployment of delivery management software, GPS tracking systems, and other tools to streamline operations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements for all delivery activities.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve delivery-related issues and enhance the end-user experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in logistics or delivery operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of last-mile logistics challenges and solutions
- Proficiency with logistics software, route planning tools, and MS Excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers is a plus
