Laboratory Tech III

Job Description
The BAE Systems site in Kingsport, Tennessee, is seeking a Laboratory Analyst.
In this role, the Laboratory Analyst:

• Performs a variety of physical and chemical testing safely using instrumentation and wet chemistry.
• Records and maintains accurate data using provided data sheets and entering data into LIMS.
• Complies with all applicable laboratory and safety procedures.
• Ensures all work areas are kept clean, neat, and organized.
• Troubleshoots instrumentation problems and testing issues as the need arises.
• Works in a team environment to complete all laboratory testing.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a High School Diploma, or the equivalent, and two (2) years experience in an analytical laboratory;
• Working knowledge of analytical instruments, physical and chemical testing;
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts;
• Advanced math and computer skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail and safety;
• Ability to differentiate between color differences during required testing;
• Able to work effectively in a team environment;
• Computer skills to include MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Three (3) years or more in analytical laboratory;
• Experience troubleshooting analytical equipment;
• Experience testing explosives.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $45978 - $73564

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
