IT Project Manager Cybersecurity & Enterprise Platforms

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead and deliver complex, high-impact initiatives across Cybersecurity, ServiceNow, and other enterprise priority projects. This role blends traditional project management discipline with Agile delivery leadership, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business and security objectives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating in both regulated cybersecurity environments and fast-paced Agile delivery teams. This individual will work closely with technical teams, security leaders, product owners, and business stakeholders to drive execution, remove impediments, manage risk, and provide transparent reporting at the leadership level.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Project & Program Delivery
Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity initiatives e.g., risk remediation, compliance initiatives, security tooling, vulnerability management,
Manage ServiceNow projects, including platform implementations, module enhancements (ITSM, ITOM,), integrations, and process optimization
Plan, execute, and track high-priority enterprise projects as assigned
Define project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics
Ensure projects align with organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and security standards
Agile & Scrum Leadership
Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams, facilitating:
Sprint planning
Daily standups
Sprint reviews
Retrospectives
Quarterly Planning
Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum best practices, and continuous improvement
Remove impediments and proactively address delivery risks
Partner with Product Owners and leadership to manage backlogs, priorities, and roadmap alignment
Stakeholder & Communication Management
Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership
Translate complex technical and cybersecurity concepts into clear, actionable updates
Provide regular status reporting, dashboards, and executive summaries
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across IT, Security, Compliance, Risk, and Business teams
Maintain detailed roadmaps for key initiatives and provide detailed updates on progress
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure cybersecurity projects adhere to regulatory and compliance frameworks
Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
Support audit readiness and documentation for security-related initiatives
Enforce change management, project governance, and quality standards
Financial & Resource Management
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource plans as needed
Track actuals vs. planned spend and escalate variances
Optimize team capacity and vendor engagement where applicable
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
Required Skills & Experience
Project & Agile Experience
5+ years of experience in Project Management, Scrum Master, or hybrid delivery roles
Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity and IT platform projects
Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional environments
Technical & Platform Knowledge
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and processes
Experience managing ServiceNow projects or platform enhancements
Familiarity with ITSM, SecOps, GRC, or enterprise service management platforms
Working knowledge of SDLC, change management, and release management
Tools & Reporting
Proficiency with Agile and project tools (Jira, Confluence,)
Strong reporting and documentation skills, including dashboards and executive summaries
Preferred Certifications (Not Required but Strongly Desired)
PMP®, CAPM®, or equivalent Project Management certification
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or PMI-ACP
ITIL Foundation
Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM) are a plus

Approved project charters, plans, schedules, and risk registers

On-time, on-budget delivery of cybersecurity and ServiceNow initiatives
Clear, consistent status reporting and executive-level dashboards
Documented lessons learned and continuous improvement recommendations
Improved visibility, predictability, and stakeholder confidence in project delivery
