GEOAxIS is looking for Junior Technical Lead to work with the rest of the technical leadership team to help drive program technical execution, innovation and modernization.
The GEOAxIS system provides Identity, Credential and Access Management for all web applications. GEOAxIS enables online, on-demand, access to NGA GEOINT content based on user’s authoritative attributes/roles. Our Mission is to maintain highly available ICAM services for protecting those critical mission applications across all security domains. The GxNext contract was awarded to Leidos in 2021 and runs until 2031.
Primary Responsibilities
- Suggest technical improvements to the GEOAxIS architecture
- Assist in medium to long term technical improvements from a design and execution perspective
- Assist with external stakeholder meetings and requests
- Provide hands on implementation assistance to development and operational teams
- Assist in leading design efforts for new ICAM technologies and services
- Reduce and limit technical debt through improved automated processes
- Increase GEOAxIS availability and observability
Basic Qualifications
- STEM Bachelors degree plus 2 years, or AS degree plus 4 years of experience in Software Development, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
- Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph
- 1 Year of DevOps experience
- Experience in at least one of the following languages:
- Bash
- Python
- Java
- NodeJS
- Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record of leading technical teams, conveying technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
- Candidate must be able to physically be in Chantilly, VA a minimum of 4 days a week to work with the team with occasional meetings in Reston and/or Springfield, VA
- All candidates must be US CITIZENS to be considered for the position
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 Year of ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) experience
- 1 Year of design, implementation, or support of RESTful and/or SOAP services.
- Kubernetes experience using Rancher RKE2 or Openshift
- Strong understanding of containers
- Experience containerizing existing custom software
- Knowledge of common DevOps tools such as:
- Ansible
- ArgoCD
- Gitlab
- Nexus3
- Kubernetes
- Certifications in any of the following:
- RHCSA/RHCE
- AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer
- CKA/CKAD
- Linux System Administration experience

Pay Range:Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
