As a Junior Project Manager, you'll manage small to mid-level projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and documentation with a focus on communication and budget management.
About Us
Tactical is a global creative & innovation studio. Born from social and inspired by culture, we’re champions of storytelling across the platforms and technologies that shape the internet; today and tomorrow.
We work with brands to connect the dots in a maze of swipe, tap, irrelevant.
Who you are
As a Junior Project Manager at Tactical, you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of straightforward and ongoing projects — such as content retainers and small / recurring campaigns — based on scopes and project approaches defined by senior or mid-level PMs.
Your focus is on delivering individual projects smoothly, on time, and within budget. You are not expected to define scopes, but you must confidently manage timelines, coordinate teams, and maintain clear documentation and communication throughout.
You actively seek guidance when needed, escalate issues early, and support the broader delivery team as you build experience. This role is designed to strengthen your foundations in project management and prepare you for greater ownership over time.
End-to-End Project Delivery
- Manage small–mid-level projects independently, from briefing to delivery, and stay within the defined scope, budget and timelines.
- Lead internal kickoffs, create timelines, and track project milestones.
- Maintain project status in Productive with accurate updates.
- Build and update trackers and project workbooks.
- Coordinate resource scheduling for your projects.
Documentation & Process Management
- Maintain clear and organised documentation using Tactical templates.
- Follow SOPs for scopes, briefs, budgets, and timelines.
- Support shoot prep: run sheets, delivery trackers, and post-wrap documentation.
- Assist with freelancer/vendor onboarding and alignment to internal processes.
Communication & Client Interaction
- Act as delivery contact on assigned projects; liaise clearly with clients and internal teams.
- Attend client calls, share timelines and flag blockers early.
- Document meeting actions and distribute timely follow-ups.
- Escalate issues to Senior PM / Portfolio Leads where needed; always communicate proactively.
Commercial Awareness
- Track time and resources in Productive daily.
- Understand scopes, budgets, and how delivery decisions affect overall budget health.
- Raise out-of-scope concerns & risks early.
Collaboration & Growth
- Work closely with strategy, production, and creative teams.
- Shadow Senior PM on larger projects or shoots to gain exposure.
- Proactively seek feedback through retrospectives and take initiative in your development.
- Support cross-functional alignment and be a positive force in team delivery.
- Demonstrate initiative and accountability in all assigned work.
What you'll bring
- 1–2 years’ experience in a creative, digital, or production agency.
- Strong communicator who adapts well to audience and context.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented; follows through on commitments.
- Comfortable managing small-to-mid-size projects independently.
- Curious and proactive; eager to grow and contribute to process improvements.
- Experience with tools like Productive, Notion, Google Suite, and Slack.
