Job Summary

The Junior Project Accountant is responsible for client billings; A/R collections and follow-up including documenting collection notes; track client invoicing requirements and specific client invoicing deadlines; provide billing information to Senior PA to assist in preparation of various reports; provide payment status to the PA team for A/R reporting as needed. Familiarize yourself with Introba’s jobs and client contracts, and Introba’s project cycles, as well as an ability to learn and leverage information systems.
Another major component of the role is the ability to be versatile and reliable in order to support the Project Accounting team by meeting team deliverables. As deliverables are met and tasks mastered, the role will continue to evolve.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Billing:

  • Fixed Fee invoicing
  • Percentage Complete Invoicing
  • Time and Material Invoicing
  • Client specific invoicing
  • Reimbursable expense billing
  • Project reconciliations to client records as required
  • Email final invoices to clients and ensure confirmation of client receipt of invoices in good form, file copies of invoices and backup in appropriate folders

Accounts Receivable:

  • Contact clients to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
  • Ensure detailed notes are maintained on all collection attempts
  • Communicate with PA on collections efforts

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferably 1 year of project accounting or billing experience
  • Experience in engineering or other project-oriented firms preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with independent work habits
  • Experience working in a deadline orientated and face paced and high volume office
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision software would be an asset
