Job Summary
Berkshire Grey's growing Supply Chain team has a great opportunity for a dynamic, detail-oriented and highly motivated recent college graduate who is eager to start a career in a Planner/Buyer role in product introduction (NPI). In this position you will gain experience in R&D material planning processes, milestones, tasks and interdependencies within the product development workflow. As a member of the cross-functional team for assigned NPI projects, the Planner/Buyer will work with engineering and supply chain to build a detailed material plan between departments for on-time internal and external material needs.
Roles & Responsibilities Include:
- R&D material planning, scheduling, and tracking from development through production hand-off
- Create work orders and maintain accurate commit dates
- Use Net Suite Supply Chain Planning lead time inputs to define inbound due dates from suppliers across all manufacturing steps, identifying issues and risk mitigation in material flow
- Identify critical path, and propose risk mitigation/contingency strategies for delays and shortages
- Drive and track resolution of eco’s and material issues, facilitating conflict resolution and initiating action to ensure next steps are identified and agreed to
- Setup, monitor and maintain the Net Suite ERP system to capture and track material plans and status
- Communicate status through meetings, reports and dashboards
- Manage NPI work orders
- Identify, propose and manage process improvement projects related to material planning processes and systems
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Engineering or related fields
- 1 - 3 years of experience in material planning or procurement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient Microsoft suite programs experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience placing purchase requisitions and orders on formal ERP system
- Experience working with a variety of material planning and tracking tools including ERP systems (e.g. Net Suite ERP, Shopify, BOX, Power BI, JIRA, Empower/Omnify PLM)
