Location: This role will be hybrid, based in Phoenix, AZ with travel to Ohio and third-party laboratory partner sites as needed to support launch activities.
About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior R&D Analyst to support our R&D analytical testing team. This role will support all analytical testing activities both in-house and with third party testing labs to ensure our pharmaceutical products meet the highest standards of safety and efficacy.
You Will:Documentation Management: Assist in maintaining and organizing R&D documentation, including analytical test reports and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
Third Party Testing Support: Submit samples for testing to qualified third party laboratory partners, track test timing and record results in appropriate spreadsheets. Ensure that all samples are properly labeled, shipped and incoming data is accurate.
Vendor Management: Participate in weekly calls with external laboratories to ensure that analytical testing is conducted on time and within internal project deadlines.
Analytical Laboratory Support: Assist the on-site analytical team with document preparation, coordination of internal resources and general laboratory support such as ordering supplies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Compile data for analysis, prepare reports and support laboratory investigations when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D formulation, project managers, quality and operations teams to support product development, communicate testing results and resolve analytical challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Assist with identifying opportunities for improving administrative workflows and documentation processes, ensuring continuous improvement in R&D operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biological Science, Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Cosmetic Chemistry or related fields.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/ nutriceutical research and development role, analytical laboratory or compounding pharmacy setting.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and experience with database management or project management software is a plus.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office work.
Proactive, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced and collaborative setting.
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
