Role and Scope of Position:
The IT Technical Relationship Manager will serve as a trusted technology partner, working collaboratively with Senior Executive Leadership, including Senior Vice Presidents and above, and the Information Technology department (IT) at Eversource. The position will also support Board of Directors–related technology needs, including meetings, materials, and executive sessions. This role will routinely handle highly confidential and sensitive information and is expected to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
The IT Technical Relationship Manager will be focused on managing the technology environment including executive desktop, collaboration tools, and audio-visual (AV) support services. In this role, you will partner closely with Senior Executive leaders and their administrative teams to ensure technology services consistently support executive workstyles, meetings, and day-to-day operations.
You will translate executive needs and expectations into clearly defined service requirements, support models, and technology standards, ensuring strong alignment between Executive priorities and IT delivery. This role provides oversight and coordination across IT teams and external partners responsible for desktop and AV environments, driving service quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
The Technical Relationship Manager plays a critical role in bridging Senior Executive leadership and technology delivery teams, ensuring executive-facing technology services are well-coordinated, proactive, and aligned with Eversource standards.

Essential Functions: 

  • Build trusted relationships with Executive leadership by providing consistent, reliable, and well-coordinated technology support aligned with corporate standards.
  • Escalate and facilitate resolution of executive-impacting issues while maintaining clear communication and accountability.
  • Conduct initiative-taking walkthroughs and periodic equipment checks of executive offices and meeting spaces to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure proactive planning and communication around executive technology changes, refresh cycles, and major meetings or events.
  • Monitor service performance, recurring issues, and executive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Translate executive requirements into clear service expectations, support models, and technology standards for desktop and AV environments.
  • Function as the primary liaison between Executive leadership and IT, ensuring desktop, collaboration, and audio-visual services consistently meet executive expectations.
  • Partner with Executive leaders and administrative staff to understand workstyles, meeting needs, and technology priorities.
  • Coordinate across IT teams (Digital Workplace, Infrastructure, Network, and AV) to ensure timely delivery and resolution of executive-facing technology needs.
  • Oversee executive desktop and audio-visual support services, including conference rooms, executive offices, and key meeting spaces.
  • Manage relationships with internal IT teams and external vendors to support upgrades, incidents, and service improvements.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill: 

  • Analytical and Creative Thinking: Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information and contribute innovative ideas that add business value and enhance solution creation.
  • Stakeholder Management and Conflict Resolution: Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and influence decision-making processes to align IT services with business needs.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate IT capabilities and solutions to business constituents, ensuring they understand available services and self-service options.
  • Broad Business and IT Perspective: A comprehensive understanding of both business and IT landscapes, with the ability to bridge the gap and ensure alignment between the two.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of executive desktop environments, including laptops, peripherals, docking stations, and mobile devices.
    • Expertise in enterprise collaboration and conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex) and their integration with audio-visual systems.
    • Knowledge of conference room and executive office AV technologies, including cameras, microphones, displays, control systems, and room scheduling solutions.
    • Familiarity with endpoint management, device lifecycle management, and desktop refresh processes.
    • Understanding network, connectivity, and performance considerations impacting desktop and AV reliability.
    • Ability to assess executive-facing technology environments and identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
    • Experience coordinating AV installations, upgrades, and support with internal IT teams and external vendors.
  • Product Management Understanding: Knowledge of product management concepts and the ability to collaborate effectively with product/service managers to align solutions with business needs.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: A flexible and adaptive style to navigate diverse organizational environments and evolving business needs, ensuring the delivery of optimal value.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Experience: Five (5) or more years of IT experience.

Licenses & Certifications:   CompTIA+ desirable

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH, as necessary.

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Check out our careers site for an overview of our benefits programs. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is:

$107,270.00-$119,190.00
