Our Mission

You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you’re blocked.

We’re here to give power to the patient.

For nearly 20 years, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we’re going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc’s marketplace to power access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more.

Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting. We don’t want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. We want to make sure all of those doors open when patients are knocking.

Fixing healthcare starts with fixing access to it. And we're still just getting started.

Your Impact on our Mission

Zocdoc's most important asset is our people. As the Specialist, Technical Support, you'll make sure every employee in our New York office, and every remote user across the U.S., has the tools, access, and support they need to do their best work. You'll own the day-to-day of onboarding and offboarding, asset and inventory management, and triaging IT support requests: the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Zocdoc running smoothly so the rest of the company can stay focused on our mission to give power to the patient.

This is a great opportunity to build hands-on IT experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with room to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.

You'll enjoy this role if you are...

  • Customer-focused. You take pride in helping others and get genuine satisfaction from making sure employees have what they need to succeed
  • Organized. You like keeping systems, inventory, and processes accurate and up to date, even when things move fast
  • Detail-oriented. You catch the small stuff (a missed deactivation, an unreconciled laptop) before it becomes a bigger problem
  • Adaptable. You're comfortable learning new systems and shifting priorities as the business evolves
  • A team player. You communicate clearly, work well with IT teammates and other departments, and don't mind rolling up your sleeves

Your day to day is...

  • Monitoring the IT Support Desk queue, triaging incoming requests, escalating urgent issues, and coordinating necessary approvals
  • Providing entry-level troubleshooting for employee systems and equipment, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff when needed
  • Processing routine user access requests across platforms such as Google Workspace, Active Directory, Azure, and Jamf, escalating complex requests to senior IT staff
  • Executing all technical aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning/deactivation, laptop preparation, shipping logistics, and equipment returns
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and asset tracking in Jira through weekly updates, laptop check-in/check-out, shipment tracking, and reconciliation of returned equipment
  • Assisting with the setup, testing, and maintenance of conference room and A/V equipment for onsite and offsite meetings and events
  • Partnering with the IT procurement team to ensure inventory accuracy, track hardware needs, and coordinate office equipment fulfillment

You'll be successful in this role if you have...

  • 2+ years of IT support or help desk experience
  • Experience with on-boarding and off-boarding workflows
  • Familiarity with account administration across Google Workspace, Active Directory, Azure, and Jamf
  • A basic understanding of IT asset management and inventory processes
  • Troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent certifications are a plus
  • The ability to integrate generative AI tools into daily workflows to automate tasks, foster innovation, and maximize productivity
