Salary: 45-55K/annually + Commission

Job Summary

MainSpring’s award-winning software development and automation team is seeking a passionate business development representative to help clients solve their most pressing needs. The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating sales-qualified opportunities and closing deals with current and potential customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify and generate sales within the firm’s established clients-base and acquire net new clients
  • Generate quotes and close software licensing renewals, hosting and subscription services opportunities
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and set appointments for sales executives for new software development opportunities or expanded use within the organization
  • Initiate telephone and email contact with clients and potential prospects
  • Follow up on leads from inbound sources and schedule appointments for sales team
  • Achieve quotes for deals closed and appointments set
  • Understand product offerings, as well as competitive product offerings, in order to communicate them to current and prospective clients
  • Provide data management of CRM systems, HubSpot and ConnectWise, to include licensing configurations, list management and email marketing
  • Communicate professionally over the phone to validate and obtain new data on behalf of clients
  • Liaison with MainSpring’s partners and vendors, specifically with Claris International Inc. (FileMaker)
  • Provide assistance, as needed, to other sales and internal team members

Requirements

  • 2-4 Years business development / inside sales experience required
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Technology services sales background preferred  
  • Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Strong phone and video meeting presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Experience working with a CRM
  • High school or equivalent

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone and on video teleconference meetings. Close vision is required to work on the computer for long periods of time each day.
