Job Description
This position is for a ServiceNow IT software engineer based in Poland, working as part of the IT Service Management DevOps team. The role primarily involves developing new solutions to automate and augment the off-the-shelf ServiceNow product, with a strong focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) modules. Normal Poland working hours are expected, with occasional, but rare, off-hours work required (3-4 times per year).
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define stories and capture requirements.
Work with the team to design and develop solutions.
Partner with stakeholders to validate that solutions meet requirements.
Lead solution design sessions with stakeholders, translating requirements and business rules into designs.
Prepare technical specifications, business processes, process flows, data models, and design documents.
Utilize programming skills and ServiceNow development toolsets such as Flows and Flow Designer to build applications, automation, or enhance existing capabilities within the ServiceNow platform, particularly within GRC modules.
Validate developed solutions and engage with stakeholders for validation before deployment.
Provide support, manage tickets, and perform administrative tasks for the IT service management tools, including addressing and resolving issues as needed.
Provide frontline support to ServiceNow users and address their inquiries and issues.
Support customers with their ServiceNow-related needs to ensure satisfaction.
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills
Proficient in requirements gathering, process mapping, and producing technical documentation.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Must Have Skills:
Experience designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with a strong emphasis on GRC modules.
Proficiency in ServiceNow development toolsets including Flows and Flow Designer.
Programming experience with at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, mobile apps, web apps, user-facing (HTML5/CSS3), JSON, XML, REST API.
Experience providing customer support and frontline support for ServiceNow.
Preference for: Individuals with ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of ServiceNow Development experience.
Master's Degree (MS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of ServiceNow Development experience.
Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering experience (with 4+ years in ServiceNow Development).
In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant ServiceNow experience with a focus on ServiceNow development will be considered.
