IT Manager

At Oscilar, we're building the most advanced AI Risk Decisioning™ Platform. Banks, fintechs, and digitally native organizations rely on us to manage their fraud, credit, and compliance risk with the power of AI. If you're passionate about solving complex problems and making the internet safer for everyone, this is your place.

Role Overview

We're looking for an IT Manager to join Oscilar as our first dedicated IT hire. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build and shape our IT function from the ground up — establishing the foundation, systems, and processes that will support our team today and scale with us as we grow. You've done this before: you know what great looks like for MDM, SSO, SaaS management, and compliance-ready infrastructure, and you have hands-on experience to build it. This is a rare opportunity to own IT end-to-end at a high-growth startup and leave your mark on how we work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup, access provisioning, and account management.

  • Implement, own and operate Oscilar’s corporate IT environment end-to-end, including endpoint management, identity and access management and SaaS administration

  • Define and execute IT strategy aligned to business goals, ensuring our corporate infrastructure scales with headcount growth, supports compliance requirements, and enables productivity across all teams

  • Replace manual IT processes with automated, self-service systems using APIs, scripting, or workflow automation tools

  • Triage and resolve any and all workplace technology problems—from access issues and hardware failures to complex integration bugs. No problem is beneath you, and no problem is too hard.

  • Conduct regular audits of SaaS environments to identify improvements, optimize resource utilization, and enhance security posture.

  • Develop and maintain source of truth documentation for supported applications and processes for both internal employees and IT staff.

  • Ensure IT operations align with compliance frameworks (i.e. SOC2), owning controls where IT is the operator

Required Qualifications
  • 5–7 years in IT Operations or Technical Support roles at a high-growth startup

  • Experience managing IT infrastructure in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS or software company.

  • Solid understanding of networking, security fundamentals, identity and access management, and endpoint management — with the ability to evaluate, select, and implement the right tools for the job.

  • Experience supporting global organizations across multiple time zones

  • Strong incident management skills: triage, root-cause analysis, blameless postmortems, pattern recognition

  • Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders and write excellent documentation

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize ruthlessly in a fast-moving environment where not everything is well-defined

Benefits
  • Compensation: Competitive salary and equity packages, including a 401k plan.

  • Flexibility: Remote first culture.

  • Health: 100% Employer covered comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with a top tier plan for you and your dependents. (US)

  • Balance: Unlimited PTO policy.

  • Culture: Family-Friendly environment; Regular team events and offsites.

  • Development: Unparalleled learning and professional development opportunities.

  • Impact: Making the internet safer by protecting online transactions.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
