We are Fantasy.
The creative partner behind the world’s biggest digital products, launching the next generation of intelligent experiences. For over two decades, we’ve partnered with industry leaders like Google, Microsoft, Nike, Spotify, and Ford to shape products and services used by billions daily.

Your Role.
As the agency’s sole IT leader, you’ll serve as the strategic and hands-on owner of all technology operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll independently manage our IT environment, driving reliability, security, and operational excellence for full-time and freelance staff. You’ll support diverse creative teams across industries—automotive, luxury, travel—and across platforms ranging from operating systems and web ecosystems to voice and AI experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary IT point of contact for all staff, ensuring prompt, solutions-driven support and an exceptional service experience.
• Lead SOC2 compliance initiatives with external partners—own documentation, implement controls, support audits, and ensure consistent adherence to security and privacy best practices.
• Manage the relationship with our outsourced IT partner, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability to maintain a secure, well-supported environment.
• Serve as the liaison for all client security and data privacy inquiries, including completion of security questionnaires and technical reviews.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding for employees and freelancers, including system access and equipment management, in collaboration with external IT support.
• Administer and maintain core business applications (Google Workspace, Box, Miro, Figma, Slack, Zoom, Loom, Adobe, Office 365), overseeing user access, licensing, and troubleshooting.
• Provision and manage user access across cloud infrastructure environments, including GCP, AWS, and Azure, ensuring appropriate permissions and secure usage.
• Purchase, track, and maintain company hardware and software inventory; regularly audit usage and optimize for performance and cost.
• Manage domain registration, hosting, and key digital infrastructure, coordinating with developers as needed.
• Develop, implement, and uphold IT and security policies; deliver staff security awareness training.
• Continuously assess technology needs, proactively recommend improvements, and introduce tools or systems to enhance productivity and resilience.
• Negotiate and oversee IT vendor contracts, ensuring service quality and cost-efficiency that align with agency goals.

Experience and Skills
• 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or technology management, preferably in a small agency or creative environment.
• Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills; exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Demonstrated experience with SOC2 compliance, including documentation, process improvement, and audit support.
• Proficiency with Mac environments, SaaS tools, and cloud services.
• Experience as an admin for Google Workspace and other common agency tools.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Calm under pressure, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented.
• Experience managing external vendors or service providers.
• Prior experience supporting creative or digital production teams.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
