As a key member of the Software Engineering Tools DevSec ops team, you will oversee the development and operational support tasks on the DevSecOps environment, ensuring application security, scalability, and reliability across multiple security enclaves.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance and CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification within 6 months of hire
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role
- Knowledge of on-premises cloud infrastructure technologies, such as OpenStack, VMware, or Azure Stack
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Strong understanding of cloud services including virtualization, containerization, and related architectural principles
- Familiarity with automation toolkits such as Ansible, Terraform, or Packer
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab and understand version control and git workflows
- Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configuration
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and frameworks (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, ELK stack)
- Working experience with Kubernetes and other containerization technologies
- Occasional off-hour response to outages and subsequent service restoration efforts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong understanding of security and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team
- Exhibit sound judgement, initiative and self-motivation and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Close collaboration with peers, Platform Engineering, Engineering, various stakeholders and managers is essential
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- A Security+ or equivalent certification
- Experience deploying SaaS and PaaS services for use by other users
- Having a TS/SC clearance
- Experience working in a customer service organization to resolve issues experienced by users
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKAD, CKA, or CKS
- Conducting zero downtime Kubernetes upgrades
- General understanding of Engineering disciplines and tools
