We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead a team of developers and business analysts supporting the Ordnance Systems Inc (OSI) business unit part of Platform & Solutions sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the team in a dynamic environment, ensuring effective collaboration, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet stakeholder needs. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive program success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of bespoke and COTS applications, providing technical and functional support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. Most applications are written in .NET. Frameworks include WinForms, Blazor, MVC and WebApi with Angular. Applications are hosted on Windows servers with IIS and use Microsoft SQL Server. [KD1]

Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of application support specialists, including providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure team members have the necessary skills, resources, and support to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Interact with various stakeholders, including product owners, Business Technology Officer, and other teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and negotiate priorities as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program success.
- Communicate application support plans, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams
- Application Maintenance and Enhancement:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify and prioritize application enhancements and maintenance activities
- Develop and implement plans to improve application performance, reliability, and security
- Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures with experience in and knowledge of DFARS; NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and CMMC or similar security controls
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to the development team, ensuring solutions meet technical requirements and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to inform technical decisions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, IT, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Managing service ticket operations, ensuring timely resolution of tickets and incidents in ServiceNow by monitoring SLAs, KPIs, and client satisfaction metrics to ensure service excellence
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing IT projects
- Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with application support tools, such as ticketing systems, monitoring tools and debugging software
- Knowledge of SDLC, security and audit/compliance requirements and related processes
- Experience in software deployment, testing, or support
- Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
- Experience with software development, IT, or a related field.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities with great Time management and organizational skill
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
