Key Responsibilities

Disaster Recovery & Service Continuity

  • Own and manage IT Disaster Recovery (DR) activities for the Americas region, including DR plan creation, maintenance, and execution.

  • Ensure all IT service continuity processes comply with IT governance policies and standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Application teams, Site IT, Infrastructure teams, and Global Cybersecurity and Compliance to understand and validate disaster recovery and infrastructure resilience requirements.
  • Act as a key liaison to ensure infrastructure risks and dependencies are understood and addressed early.
  • Support leadership communication during DR exercises and incidents.

IT Infrastructure Services risk and Exception Management

  • Oversee the IT Infrastructure Services Risk and Exception Management Process, acting as a Risk Manager, ensuring that the process is managed and maintained.
  • Ensure governance processes are followed and exceptions are formally reviewed and approved, working closely together with Global Cybersecurity and Compliance.
  • Maintain visibility into regional infrastructure risks and compliance posture.

Infrastructure Lifecycle & Site Assessments

  • Lead and conduct IT infrastructure assessments across sites to identify:
    • Non-compliance with standards and policies
    • Gaps in resilience, lifecycle management, or governance
  • Oversee and track gap remediation activities, working with site and central IT teams to ensure timely closure.
  • Support continuous improvement of IT infrastructure lifecycle policies and assessment methodologies.

Training & Capability Enablement

  • Ensure all personnel with defined IT service continuity responsibilities are adequately trained and capable of fulfilling their roles.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training, awareness, and documentation related to DR, governance, and infrastructure compliance.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT Disaster Recovery, IT service continuity, or IT compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with IT service continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT Disaster Recovery frameworks and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of international Business Continuity and IT Service Continuity standards, including ISO-based BCM frameworks.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure assessments is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with Mendix development is an advantage.

  • Disaster recovery plans are current, tested, and effective.
  • Infrastructure risks are visible, managed, and remediated proactively.
  • Sites demonstrate improved compliance, resilience, and readiness.
  • DR exercises and real events result in measurable improvements, not repeat findings.
  • Strong collaboration across applications, infrastructure, security, and site IT teams.

The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
