IT Cooling National Account Manager – Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD)

Remote – Located West of Denver, CO

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a highly motivated IT Cooling National Account Manager to drive growth, expand strategic customer relationships, and increase market share for our IT Cooling equipment, service, and software solutions portfolio.

This highly visible, customer-facing role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong technical background in HVAC, mission-critical infrastructure, cooling systems, power quality, or data center solutions. The successful candidate will lead national account strategies, develop new business opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to customers seeking innovative cooling technologies that support today's growing digital infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, market share, and growth objectives for the IT Cooling product line.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new customer opportunities and strategic accounts nationwide.
  • Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions from initial pursuit through successful project award.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop competitive solutions that address customer needs and market demands.
National Account Management
  • Establish and grow relationships with key accounts, prospects, and industry stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary customer interface, coordinating with sales, production, service, and support teams to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop account growth strategies that increase product adoption, service opportunities, and long-term customer value.
  • Partner with Marketing to support and maintain customer engagement initiatives, including the Client Advisory Council.
Channel & Partner Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers' representatives, distributors, consultants, contractors, resellers, and channel partners.
  • Support channel development initiatives that expand market reach and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and partners to ensure successful delivery and operation of products and solutions.
Market Intelligence & Product Leadership
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding product enhancements, service offerings, market strategies, and business processes.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of IT Cooling, HVAC, critical infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
Forecasting & Financial Management
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and opportunity pipelines.
  • Monitor account performance and recommend adjustments to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and ensure projects are structured to support profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage assigned cost centers and support sound financial decision-making.
Industry Engagement
  • Represent MEPPI at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, seminars, and industry events.
  • Promote MEPPI's reputation as a trusted provider of critical cooling and infrastructure solutions.
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects as directed by leadership.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience selling HVAC, IT cooling, mission-critical infrastructure, power quality products, or related services.
    • Experience managing manufacturers' representatives, distributors, resellers, or channel partners.
    • Proven success developing and growing strategic customer relationships.
Skills & Expertise
  • Knowledge of HVAC, IT Cooling, critical power, power quality, or data center infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong business development, account management, and technical sales capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence executives, engineers, consultants, and operational stakeholders.
  • Advanced commercial negotiation and proposal development experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
