Role Description

At Dropbox, our Mobile Engineering team is pivotal in enhancing the way users interact with their digital content through our mobile application. As an iOS Software Engineer in our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in driving this mission forward. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact not only on the Dropbox app and its users, but to also work with others in a way that transcends geographical and device boundaries. You will be at the forefront of solving complex technical challenges, working across different development stacks, and collaborating with a cross-functional team of talented individuals who are equally passionate about creating exceptional mobile experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Build intuitive features and experience on our iOS application for mobile users.
  • Identify and solve important issues in the mobile codebase, including potential rearchitecting for better performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with the team to uphold software development best practices, maintaining a high quality of code through reviews and adherence to standards.
  • Work with product managers and designers to create thoughtful features, ensuring alignment with user needs and company goals.
  • Utilize advanced problem-solving to address complex mobile development challenges, including optimization and debugging.
  • Stay updated with the latest iOS development trends and practices, engaging in continuous personal and professional growth.
  • Communicate effectively within the team, fostering collaboration and supporting team member growth.

On-call work may be necessary occasionally to help address bugs, outages, or other operational issues, with the goal of maintaining a stable and high-quality experience for our customers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., Physics or Mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong engineering skills and software fundamentals in developing iOS applications 
  • Experience working with large native code bases with significant complexity
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional groups
  • A passion for building consumer applications with elegant and clean interfaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Swift
  • Experience developing, testing, shipping and supporting a product for hundreds of thousands of users  
Compensation

Dropbox applies increased tax deductible costs to remuneration earned by certain qualifying employees (to the extent an employee will be involved in the creation of the software as an “author”) for the transfer of copyrights, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act.

Poland Pay Range
256 700 zł347 300 zł PLN
