*This position will work onsite in Needham, MA.

This role will be part of our growing Ninja Quality Food Science and Performance team. We are looking for passionate food science or food engineering student who thrives in a fast pace and dynamic work environment. In this position, the Quality Culinary Intern/Co-op will work in partnership with the team to help validate new innovative products from a food science and food performance stand point.

Responsibilities:

• Develop protocols for validating food performance that are repeatable and reproducible
• Develop and complete test plans that judge the performance of testing equipment, products, and cooking performance
• Brainstorming & bringing new ideas to the table on new techniques for validating food performance both quantitatively and with sensory analysis
• Attend and participate in team meetings

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have completed 2+ years in a degree program, ideally in a Food Science program
• 2021 Grads will be considered
• Must be able to work January - June
• A strong interest in food and cooking
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to juggle a variety of deliverable, remaining organized and productive in a deadline-driven team environment
• Organized self-starter with the independence, initiative, and drive to succeed; solid problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with fast-paced, changing priorities
• Ability to build relationships and work across multiple departments
