Internship projects vary depending on the needs of both the student and the business. Haemonetics interns are assigned to a meaningful project within the company to acquire a variety of experiences, try different skills, and learn what a future career might offer while also contributing to our innovation agenda by completing business-critical projects and assignments.  The Global Internal Audit (GIA) Internship will be located onsite 3 days/2 days remote per week in our downtown Boston HQ located at 125 Summer St. 

 

Haemonetics Global Internal Audit (GIA) is currently seeking a highly motivated intern with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. The intern will be an integral member of the GIA team and work closely with our GIA Senior Managers and Analyst on projects focused on evolving our audit risk identification & mitigation process. Specifically, the intern will reshape and migrate our audit risk universe to HAE’s GRC system (AuditBoard) and develop & enhance analytics to support risk insights for audit and executive reporting. The intern projects are an important part of GIA’s annual deliverables and continuous improvement efforts. The intern will support GIA’s vision and mission: help the business achieveits objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance processes. 

 

What You Will Do:

For Summer 2025, the GIA intern projects will optimize GIA’s audit risk identification & mitigation process in AuditBoard’s Risk Oversight & OpsAudit modules. Interns will: 

  • Collaborate with GIA members on audit universe migration & transformation, automating & optimizing the risk assessment process.

  • Collaborate with GIA members on cross-linking HAE’s enterprise risk library & audit universe components   Based on completion of the audit universe enhancement project, develop dashboard(s) within AuditBoard and/or Tableau Desktop & Server to enhance real time risk monitoring.  

  • Cleanse & optimize risk/operational/financial data   Synthesize data insights for audit & management reporting. 

  • Present results to key stakeholders 

  • The GRC & analytics tools developed by the intern will facilitate identification, trending, & remediation tracking of key risks, while driving continuous process improvement across multiple functions.

Key Deliverables:

  • Finalized & Fully linked Audit Universe in Audit Board (HAE GRC system) 

  • Finalized Dashboard(s) uploaded to the GIA Tableau Server or within Audit Board with detail dashboard guide & definitions

  • Presentation of results achieved to Haemonetics senior management 

 

Education/Skills:

  • Undergraduate (Rising Seniors) or MS program in relevant Business Administration, Finance/Accounting with a focus on Internal Audit or Business Analytics.

  • Coursework in Internal Audit, Business Analytics and similar studies preferred.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

  • Experience with Tableau Data Analytics, Power BI or RSuite preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision. 

  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
