Wayfair is seeking a strategic communicator and strong storyteller to join our Internal Communications team. In this role, you’ll help shape how we inform, engage, and inspire our global employee community. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams—Talent, Commercial, Finance, Purpose & Inclusion, and more—to amplify Wayfair’s business priorities and employee programs.
As a Senior Internal Communications Associate, you'll create compelling content and communications campaigns that bring our business strategy, culture, and employee offerings to life. You'll partner closely with stakeholders across the organization, as well as with other communicators, to ensure alignment and consistency across all internal touchpoints.

We're seeking someone who is an excellent writer, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is energized by impact. You should be detail-oriented, data-driven, and eager to experiment with new formats and approaches. This role reports to the Manager, Internal Communications at Wayfair’s Boston headquarters. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Write and edit content across a variety of internal channels (e.g. newsletters, intranet, Slack, digital signage).
  • Pitch, plan, and lead long-term internal campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and clarity—ensuring they align with broader business goals and employee needs.
  • Develop and own strategic editorial calendars that guide internal communications across the organization, proactively shaping messaging and timing to maximize impact.
  • Track metrics and synthesize insights to improve future communications.
  • Provide strategic communication guidance to cross-functional internal partners.
  • Stay current on trends in employee communications and storytelling.
  • Collaborate across the broader Corporate Communications team to ensure message alignment.
  • Proactively identify and pitch storytelling opportunities that reflect our culture and values and long-term communications goals. 

What You’ll Need: 


  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of experience in corporate communications or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; familiarity with AP Style is a plus.
  • Experience adapting messaging across channels and formats, including video, email, Slack, and signage.
  • Comfort drafting and distributing internal messages to large, diverse employee populations.
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and strong project management skills.
  • Curious, collaborative, and proactive in identifying new ideas and solutions.
  • Flexible mindset with the ability to pivot and respond to change quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a people-first approach.
  • Interest or experience in design tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva) is a plus
