Job Description:

Internal Communications Manager – Fixed Term

Bupa Place M50 3SP, Staines TW18 3BF, Leeds LS5 3BF - flexible, hybrid, able to travel for events and meetings

Fixed Term 12 months

Full time 37.5 hours per week

Salary £43200 - £54000 depending on experience

The role

Lovely opportunity for an accomplished Internal Communications expert to support the design and delivery of our internal communications strategy to engage our colleagues in Bupa’s purpose, strategic framework and values.

Working closely with the Head of Internal Communications, you’ll support key stakeholders, specifically the Chief Finance Officer and our Care Services Business and the broader Internal Communications team to deliver Bupa-wide internal communication campaigns.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Plan, edit and write content for internal communications channels.
  • Support with the day-to-day management of internal communications channels such as Workvivo.
  • Ensure successful delivery of internal events including leadership meetings, all employee events and All Hands calls.
  • Empower and support leaders and people managers to be effective communicators and help their teams do their best work.
  • Inspire colleagues to deliver on our ambition to be the world’s most customer-centric healthcare company.
  • Work with stakeholders to build comms plans, produce content and measure impact.
  • Work closely with other colleagues with communications responsibilities to ensure a consistent colleague experience.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Insurance & Functions team to help with capacity.

  • Drive, confidence, energy and enthusiasm!
  • Brilliant writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees.
  • Creative ability to design and deliver internal communications content in a simple and engaging way, communicating complex technical / financial information meaningfully to diverse audiences.
  • Confident in using a range of multi-media communications tools and packages.
  • Experience in event design and delivery.
  • Meticulous planner with exceptional attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
  • Customer-centric mindset and approach.
  • Strong, effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work across different functions and with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Resilient and calm. Able to manage an unpredictable workload to meet changing requirements and switch confidently and knowledgeably between priorities.
  • Commercial mindset, ensuring that agenda is positioned within the broader business and wider industry/economic context.
