About Third-Party Distribution and New Markets
The third-party distribution and new markets organization was created to focus on deepening and expanding our distribution channels and to consider areas of market innovation to reach more people. It is comprised of several businesses including MassMutual Strategic Distributors (MMSD), MassMutual Ascend, Worksite, Blueprint Income and our mass market team. These organizations are focused on distributing various products including life, disability income, annuity, and hybrid insurance products through a network of strategic distribution partners as well as voluntary benefits such as group whole life and supplemental health products such as critical illness and accident. These organizations all have one goal: To deliver on our purpose of helping people secure their future and protect the ones they love.

This program is intended for college students preparing for a career in Sales, Communications, Client Services or Finance- with a sharp focus on mastering the art and science of selling. You will gain real world sales experience, mentorship from seasoned sales professionals, and the chance to contribute to projects that drive measurable outcomes. As part of our Summer 2026 Internship Program, you will be a part of a company that fosters an inclusive and dynamic environment where our employees are valued for who they are and can build successful careers. The Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Enrolled in a four-year bachelor's degree program, with an anticipated graduation date of 2027, 2028 or 2029
Ideal Qualifications
- Pursuing a major in Business, Economics, Communications or Finance
- Strong Microsoft Skills (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Strong intellectual curiosity to think outside the box when problem solving
- Ability to take the initiative to go above and beyond
- 6+ months' experience via student clubs, community involvement or paid job
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
