Otsuka’s internship program, Intern the Otsuka Way (InTOW), offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop critical skills while contributing to meaningful projects. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, learn about the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry, and gain insights into potential career paths. By combining practical experience with professional development, our program prepares interns for future success. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, as well as insightful lunch and learns.

Job Description 

 The Corporate Communications Summer Intern will gain a holistic understanding of corporate communications — both internal and external-facing — as well as exposure in both R&D and commercial facets of the pharmaceutical world. This role offers hands-on experience in strategic storytelling, media relations, executive communications, and employee engagement. The intern will work closely with communications professionals to help shape a variety of communications. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with drafting and editing internal communications, including intranet content, newsletters, and employee announcements 

  • Support external communications efforts such as press releases, media materials, and corporate website content  

  • Conduct research on industry trends, media coverage, and competitor communications 

  • Support social media content development and performance tracking, as applicable 

  • Assist with event communications, including town halls, leadership meetings, or external conferences 

 

Minimum: 

  • Undergraduate or graduate student graduating in the next 12-18 months who is pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or equivalent degree 

  • Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

  • Can commit to full duration of internship program.

  • Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $22.00: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for individuals who are hired to perform the role in the United States.
