Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide quotes and routes for inland container movements; secure rates; facilitate inland movement of containers via Rail, Truck, Barge; setting up invoices in SAP, transmitting rail bills.
Main Tasks:
Provide accurate quotes/rates for intermodal freight, bids and spot business.
Support commercial efforts to maximize profitability by finding the most cost effective and efficient routing for new and existing business.
Recommend changes in routing when alternate routes are preferred.
Negotiate rates with truckers for spot business and new routes.
Update ZIMAPS quarterly and for missing costs as needed.
Maintain routing and route preference order in IQ Ship. Create routes when auto routing is missing, expired, or not logical.
Update costs in routes when missing.
Manage changes to specific vendors/routing in day to day as required.
Execute & manage rail billings, and resolve problems as they arise.

Requirements• High School Degree, Bachelor’s (a plus).
• 3 years’ experience preferred in various LOG operating positions.
• Logistics / Operation experience in Container Shipping industry (a plus).
