The Intelligence & Research Analyst synthesizes media intelligence for clients in defense and public affairs, focusing on research, report quality, and client engagement.
Clipbook is seeking a detail-oriented, client-focused Intelligence & Research Analyst to deliver critical intelligence to our enterprise customers across defense, public affairs, government, and advocacy sectors. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of synthesizing real-time stakeholder and real-time media intelligence, ensuring each deliverable provides clarity, strategic value, and insight at the highest level. This position blends deep research and high-quality client service in a high-security, high-velocity environment. Key Responsibilities
- Media & Stakeholder Intelligence: Research and analyze developments in the defense and public affairs landscape—including stakeholder activity, media coverage, geopolitical risk, and institutional strategy.
- Daily Report Quality Control: Own the editorial and analytical quality of daily dashboards and intelligence briefs, ensuring each report meets Clipbook’s standards of clarity, accuracy, and strategic insight.
- Client Alignment & Feedback Loop: Act as a trusted point of contact for client feedback; refine reporting strategy to ensure alignment with stakeholder goals and evolving information needs.
- Process & Delivery Optimization: Contribute to the development of new workflows and tools that improve reporting, engagement, and customer impact.
- Security-Driven Research: Ensure all research is conducted in compliance with relevant classification, security, and confidentiality requirements.
- High-Priority Assignments: Step up to lead or support fast-evolving projects, briefings, or client requests across defense, advocacy, and government portfolios.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Intelligence Studies, Public Affairs, Communications, or a related fields
- Experience in research, intelligence, media analysis, or stakeholder reporting—preferably in a defense, public affairs, or high-security context.
- Proven experience producing professional-grade client deliverables such as media reports, briefings, or dashboards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into polished insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey clarity and strategic depth.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines while juggling multiple priorities in a high-velocity setting.
- High motivation, responsiveness, coachability, and a drive to deliver impact.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with public affairs, government, or advocacy communications ecosystems.
- Prior exposure to media intelligence, open-source intelligence (OSINT), or PR analytics.
- Experience working with or supporting stakeholders in the federal government, private industry, or defense.
- Proficiency with media monitoring tools, dashboards, and stakeholder tracking platforms.
