Our team is dedicated to delivering World Class Technology with Hometown Service, guided by our core values: Focus on others, own it, work smart, and do the right thing.

We’re looking for a highly skilled Integrations Engineer — a technical “Swiss Army knife” who bridges the gap between support engineering and solution design. This role sits between Tier 3 and Tier 4, blending deep technical expertise with customer interaction and system integration responsibilities.

Job Description

The Integrations Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex integrations between IT Voice systems and client environments. This role supports both internal initiatives and customer-facing projects — ensuring seamless operation, scalability, and automation across tools, platforms, and managed services.

You’ll work closely with clients, engineers, and vendors to architect integrations that connect cloud, network, and endpoint management systems while maintaining performance, security, and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • System Integration & Automation
    • Design, develop, and implement integrations across platforms such as RMM, PSA, and cloud systems.
    • Build and maintain scripts, automations, and connectors to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to map business needs to technical solutions.
  • Customer-Facing Engineering
    • Serve as the technical point of contact during integration projects and onboarding initiatives.
    • Provide advanced remote support for integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customer environments.
    • Communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and client-friendly manner.
  • Tooling and Platform Expertise
    • Lead optimization and maintenance of VSA, RMM tools, and related monitoring platforms.
    • Support ConnectWise integrations, ticketing workflows, and API connections between IT systems.
    • Evaluate and implement new tools and processes to increase automation and efficiency.
  • Project Leadership
    • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to scope, plan, and execute integration projects.
    • Document and standardize integration workflows and technical procedures.
    • Ensure all projects align with security, compliance, and performance standards.
  • Escalation Support
    • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues that span multiple systems or vendors.
    • Support Tier 3 and Tier 4 engineers with automation and system-level troubleshooting.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise with VSA and RMM Tools (e.g., Kaseya, ConnectWise Automate, N-central, NinjaOne).
  • Strong understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
  • Experience with API integrations, automation frameworks, and system interoperability.
  • Knowledge of networking, cloud infrastructure (Azure, O365), and security best practices.
  • Excellent customer communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to think creatively about problem-solving.
  • Team-oriented with a self-driven, ownership-focused work style.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 6–8 years of experience in IT support, systems integration, or infrastructure management.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating RMM, PSA, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience working within an MSP or similar service-driven IT environment preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Kaseya, ConnectWise, Azure) are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • We are also a Team – so if it would bother you to take out the trash one day, it’s probably best you don’t apply.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
