The Integration Engineering Manager will design and implement data integrations, oversee API development, manage iPaaS platforms, and collaborate with various teams for system interoperability and optimization.

The Integration Engineering Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end systems and data integrations across our enterprise ecosystem. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, bridging IT, business systems, and data engineering. The manager will oversee API development, EDI workflows, iPaaS platforms (Celigo, Workato, Fivetran, SPS Commerce), and custom scripting using Python, SQL, and cloud functions (AWS Lambda, Azure). They will drive new integrations, optimize existing ones, and lead Tier 2/3 support in collaboration with IT Helpdesk, data teams, and business stakeholders.
This position is critical to ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability, enabling accurate, timely information for business decision-making. Our environment includes NetSuite ERP, Shopify eCommerce, Snowflake Data Warehouse, and WMS platforms integrated through APIs, EDI, and iPaaS tools. Future initiatives include implementing an Order Management System (OMS) to support omnichannel order lifecycle and fulfillment workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, dynamic webhooks, EDI, SQL, and Python.
- Define and enforce integration standards, naming conventions, and reusable design patterns.
- Manage iPaaS platforms including Celigo, Workato, Fivetran, and SPS Commerce.
- Ensure scalability, error handling, and security in all integration flows.
- Maintain compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA where applicable).
- Architect and implement scalable integration solutions for core business processes such as order lifecyle, inventory, and fulfillment workflows, including future OMS capabilities.
- Collaborate with BI/Data Engineering teams on data pipeline and integration best practices, including connectivity with Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Digital and eCommerce teams to integrate systems supporting online sales, order management, and customer experience, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and integration best practices.
- Own the integration architecture and ensure interoperability across NetSuite, Shopify, WMS and data platforms.
- Define and enforce standards for connectivity, security, and scalability across the ecosystem.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to manage platform upgrades, enhancements, and roadmaps.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and compliance requirements.
- Lead integration projects from planning through deployment and hyper-care.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define success metrics.
- Coordinate vendors and internal teams to ensure timelines and quality goals.
- Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, test plans, and change logs for all integrations.
- Act as escalation point for complex integration issues from IT Helpdesk.
- Monitor integration performance and resolve failures proactively.
- Maintain SLAs for system uptime, data sync accuracy, and resolution times.
- Define KPIs for integration success (latency, reliability, data quality, error rate) and create dashboards for leadership visibility.
- Provide technical support during audits, upgrades, or system transitions.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the individual may be required to perform other duties as assigned in support of business objectives.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years in system integration, data engineering, or IT application development/support.
- Proficiency in APIs (REST, SOAP), dynamic webhooks, SQL, Python, and cloud functions (Azure, AWS Lambda).
- Experience building and managing iPaaS tools (Workato, Celigo, SPS Commerce, Fivetran or similar).
- Ability to manage integration projects and cross-functional teams.
- Experience collaborating with Digital, eCommerce and Operations teams to deliver integrations for platforms such as NetSuite ERP, Shopify, WMS, and future OMS systems.
- Background in supply chain, logistics, retail, or ecommerce environments.
- Proactive, self-starter with strong initiative and accountability.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control, CI/CD workflows, Postman, and API testing frameworks.
- Certifications in Workato, Celigo, or AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Strong understanding of data models and ETL pipelines.
- Project Management certification (eg. PMP or equivalent).
