What You'll Do:
The Project Manager resides within the Customer Implementation Services Team, working closely with internal SambaSafety and customer stakeholders to guide, consult, and delight customers through their implementation lifecycle. This role requires an experienced Project Manager who combines strong organizational and communication skills and has strategic experience working with stakeholders ranging from C-Suite to individual contributors. The ideal candidate must bring insurance industry experience and insight, along with an incredibly positive attitude. This role will focus on implementing SambaSafety's enterprise insurance customers (both commercial and personal lines). The Project Manager will help create efficiencies through the insurance lifecycle (quote/bind/renew), assist in risk mitigation, and ensure our capabilities are used optimally to reduce costs for our customer. Additional daily activities include leading customer-facing sessions to understand business requirements and desired outcomes while consulting on SambaSafety's best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Advocacy
    1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer's needs and priorities to achieve success
    2. Consult, obtain, and document customer goals, business requirements, timelines, and key deliverables
    3. Help guide the customer toward best practice approaches recommended by the SambaSafety team
  • Stakeholder & Change Management
    1. Support and manage multiple, simultaneously large customer implementations, each containing numerous different internal and external stakeholders
    2. Anticipate risks and bottlenecks, explore contingencies, and provide escalation management internally and externally with our customers
    3. Lead structured and regular communication with stakeholders, anticipating their questions, providing customer feedback, and ensuring customers' needs are addressed
  • Project Governance & Delivery Enablement
    1. Define, estimate, and schedule project milestones, tasks, priorities, and interdependencies
    2. Recommend and implement plans that are structured and disciplined, yet smartly flexible to absorb change
    3. Embraces continuous learning and knowledge-sharing in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
    4. Establish and maintain implementation metrics and project documentation, including plans, schedules, status report, and meeting minutes

Required Skills:
  • 2-3 years of insurance experience with a solid understanding of the industry and insurance life cycle, while working hands-on with customers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • 3-4 years of global business practices, including customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and customer success norms
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and customer experience within a SaaS or technology-driven company
  • PMP, SCRUM, or Agile certifications preferred
  • Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a "can do" attitude, but open to feedback and a strong desire to learn
