Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer is the key resource in curriculum development and training in collaboration with the Workforce Management, Customer Experience, and Training leaders to create onboarding & ongoing training programs for our member services & provider experience teams. The Instructional Designer leverages adult learning principles to assess, design, implement, and evaluate training solutions for our internal clients.

Location: Remote - Dallas, TX Highly Preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product
  • Assist with conducting new hire onboarding classes


Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in instructional design, human resources, or a related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in training and instructional design/curriculum planning
  • Experience with LMS systems – Articulate
  • Experience in healthcare or customer service industry a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models
