Job Description:
Berklee is seeking an Institutional Research Analyst to join the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Accreditation (OIRA). This position supports the advancement of Berklee’s mission and strategy through the accurate collection, verification, and analysis of data used for compliance, accreditation, and decision support.
Reporting to the Dean of Institutional Research, you will be responsible for the accurate collection, verification, and analysis of institutional data. You will serve as a key resource for compliance, accreditation, and decision support. You will manage federal mandated reporting such as IPEDS, support reporting needs for accreditation, state approval, and other compliance reporting and respond to data needs for assessment throughout the institution.
This position can be in-person, hybrid, or primarily remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Institutional Reporting & Compliance:
Federal Reporting: Lead the management of federally mandated reports, including IPEDS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Accreditation Support: Gather and summarize data for state approvals, compliance reports, and institutional and program-level accreditation reports.
Information Requests: Prepare materials in response to internal and external stakeholders' requests.
Data Management & Quality Assurance:
Source Identification: Document and maintain sources of institutional data across various departments.
Verification: Verify data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and maintain documentation to ensure consistency and data integrity.
Analytics & Assessment:
Benchmarking: Design and maintain dashboards and conduct peer comparison benchmarking to track institutional progress.
Survey Design: Support assessment initiatives through survey methodologies and data analysis.
Assessment Support: Interpret data findings to provide actionable recommendations that support Berklee’s long-term strategic goals.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented analyst who is comfortable working with complex information and communicating effectively with colleagues across the institution.
Experience: 3–5 years in Institutional Research or a related field, with a strong familiarity with IPEDS and compliance-related projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
Technical Mastery: Strong skills in Excel and Google Suite. Experience with student information systems.
Preferred Tools: Knowledge of R, Python, Tableau, or Qualtrics is a significant plus.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to work independently or as part of a team, handling confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
Analytical Rigor: A proven ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining careful attention to detail.

Hiring Range: $73,000 to $85,000; salary dependent on experience and education.
