Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced and driven Institutional Business Development Executive Director to lead business generation efforts within our Valuation & Advisory (V&A) service line. This executive-level role will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with institutional clients, ODCE (Open-End Diversified Core Equity) fund clients, and debt and equity clients, driving revenue growth through strategic business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of institutional capital markets, valuation services, and client relationship management.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Growth
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with institutional investors, ODCE fund managers, REITs, pension funds, and private equity firms.
    • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand the firm's valuation services across institutional and capital markets clients.
    • Lead proactive outreach efforts, leveraging industry relationships to generate new revenue streams.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in institutional real estate investment and finance.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing market insights and valuation expertise.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering best-in-class service and customized solutions.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Partner with senior valuation professionals and market leaders to align business development efforts with service delivery.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including capital markets, research, and consulting, to enhance client offerings.
    • Represent Cushman & Wakefield at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events to strengthen brand presence.
  • Revenue & Performance Management
    • Drive revenue growth by securing new engagements and expanding existing client relationships.
    • Track and analyze business development performance, ensuring alignment with company goals and KPIs.
    • Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities and market trends.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in institutional business development, valuation, capital markets, or investment management.
  • Deep understanding of real estate valuation, institutional investment strategies, and capital markets dynamics.
  • Established network within institutional real estate, ODCE fund managers, lenders, and equity investors.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MSRE) is preferred.
  • MAI, CFA, or other relevant professional designations are a plus.
