The Inside Sales Specialist at Gator Bio is responsible for effectively positioning and selling our products within a designated geographical region. This role requires advanced knowledge in lead generation through campaigns and events, as well as expert workflow experience. A key part of the position involves engaging and qualifying new and existing customers by presenting Gator Bio’s products to meet their project and business needs. This is achieved by collaborating closely with both internal and field-based members of the sales team who are working towards shared sales goals. The position offers exciting and challenging opportunities to work with top academic institutions, research centers, and business organizations worldwide, utilizing your expertise and experience. We are seeking an individual located in the Boston, MA territory to join our organization remotely.


Responsibilities

  • Developing strong relationships with the sales team
  • Identifying and cultivating new leads
  • Managing inbound leads
  • Prospecting outbound leads
  • Collaborating with the field sales team to create a joint plan and strategy for meeting or exceeding targets
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Focusing on strategic opportunities for both short- and long-term business growth (e.g., retargeting, re-engaging dormant accounts)
  • Contacting leads to convert them into revenue or transferring them to the Field Sales team
  • Closing sales and achieving quarterly targets
  • Attending customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients
  • Stay updated on industry trends, products, and services to provide expert advice to clients

Qualifications

  • B.S., M.S.degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.  
  • Proven inside sales experience within the biotech or life sciences industry
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM tools
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive sales
  • A positive, results-driven attitude with a strong "get it done" mentality
