Position
The Inside Sales Representative supports Opengear’s Strategic Accounts by ensuring consistent execution, accurate forecasting, and strong customer engagement across complex sales and operational processes. This role focuses on opportunity support, pipeline discipline, and day-to-day customer continuity to drive predictable outcomes and trusted relationships.
 
What You Will Do
Strategic Account & Relationship Support
  • Support named Strategic Accounts in partnership with Strategic Account Directors
  • Serve as a trusted, day-to-day point of continuity for customers and internal teams
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders across infrastructure, network, data center operations, supply chain, procurement, security, and compliance
  • Reinforce Opengear’s reputation for reliability, responsiveness, and execution excellence
Opportunity & Revenue Support
  • Support the identification, qualification, and progression of sales opportunities
  • Execute outbound and inbound sales engagement in support of revenue growth across assigned accounts, verticals, and customers
  • Close assigned opportunities, identify new account potential, and manage existing business
  • Support outside sales teams as needed to drive shared revenue objectives
Pipeline, Forecast & CRM Discipline
  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, including accurate opportunity stages, values, close dates, probabilities, risks, and next steps
  • Capture and align customer forecasts, deployment plans, and purchase timelines with pipeline reporting
  • Proactively flag changes in customer direction or forecast risk
  • Maintain accurate account profiles, activity history, and reporting in Salesforce (SFDC)
Customer Engagement & Execution
  • Drive proactive outreach and follow-up to maintain engagement across Strategic Accounts
  • Ensure consistent communication throughout opportunity progression, onboarding, quoting, procurement, fulfillment, and renewals
  • Schedule and participate in customer meetings, including follow-ups, QBRs, demonstrations, and pilots
  • Re-engage dormant activity and maintain momentum without prompting
Onboarding, Operations & Partner Coordination
  • Support complex customer onboarding and product qualification efforts
  • Coordinate cross-functional workflows across internal teams, customers, partners, integrators, and OEMs
  • Track dependencies, timelines, and ownership across parallel workstreams
  • Act as an operational point of contact for supply chain and procurement teams, capturing demand signals and coordinating forecasting, lead times, and fulfillment
Quoting, Renewals & Lifecycle Support
  • Support quoting activities, including creation, revisions, version control, and coordination with sales operations, finance, and channel partners
  • Track quotes through procurement and purchase order completion
  • Support warranty, maintenance, and renewal processes, using renewals to reinforce relationships and identify expansion opportunities
 
Who You Are and What You Bring
  • Experience supporting complex B2B sales environments, including infrastructure, networking, data center, cloud, or related technologies.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational discipline, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in CRM-driven sales environments, such as Salesforce or equivalent.
 
Desired But Not Required
  • Exposure to infrastructure, hyperscale, or enterprise data center customers.
  • Experience working with channel partners or system integrators.
  • Background in inside sales, sales operations, program coordination, or technical sales support.
  • Experience supporting forecasting, quoting, renewals, or lifecycle-based revenue motions.

Digi International offers a distinctive Total Rewards package including a short-term incentive program, new hire stock award, paid parental leave, open (uncapped) PTO, and hybrid work environment in addition to our competitive medical, health & wellbeing and compensation offerings.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $88,000 – $132,000, which includes base salary + commission target.  Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location.  The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary and commission offered within the range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to the candidate’s relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Pay ranges are typically reviewed and updated annually.
