We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join Cloudflare, responsible for infrastructure lifecycle tooling. You will lead a team of passionate and talented engineers that develop the systems that allow us to manage our infrastructure at scale.Your team will be primarily responsible for expanding and evolving the suite of automations that allow our Infrastructure Operations partners to provision, expand, repair, and decommission our rapidly growing fleet of servers.Our goal is an increasingly autonomous system that takes the toil away and supports Cloudflare's growth. You will play an active part in shaping the future of the infrastructure that propels Cloudflare's scale.

- At least 3 years of management experience
- At least 8 years of hands on software development experience on meaningfully complex systems
- Comfortable leading and hiring a team that builds the backend bits and frontend widgets
- Technical expert who can guide and develop the team in their architectural and coding skills
- Ability to do deep code reviews that allow for ongoing employee development and technical excellence in the products you ship.
- Excel at planning, creating teams and overseeing execution to meet commitments and deliver with predictability
- Demonstrate a track record of leading a team including hiring, on-boarding, and professional development. You inspire your team to reach higher. You're as good as explaining "why" as you are "how"
- Experience implementing tools, process, internal instrumentation, methodologies and resolving blockages
- Comfortable managing teams/projections with tight deadlines and short release cycles
- Strong verbal and written English language skills
- Experience with DCIM, CMDB, IPAM, and other Data Center and Asset Lifecycle Management tools is a plus
