ResponsibilitiesDesign and implementation of core network infrastructure for 1830 Photonic Service switch (PSS) R&D labs.
Assist with 1830 Photonic Service switch (PSS) development team to develop and test embedded software Managing the Server infrastructure for the R&D labs.
Setup and manage VMware ESXi OS and Vcenters within server farms.
Manage file systems like ZFS, NFS and storage arrays.
Deploy VMware/Virtualization Solutions and manage Linux servers.
Troubleshoot any network issues in the R&D labs.
Script and automate deployments using Bash, Python.
Design and deploy networks for testing of the 1830 PSS.
Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output.
Responsible for contribution to teamwork.
Carry out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines.
Demonstrates initiative and adaptability to changing business environments. #LI-DNI
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Education or Experience in:
- Networking protocols, including OSPF, BGP, VLAN, RSTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP or OTN;
- Operating Systems, including Linux, or Windows server;
- Programming languages: Python and Bash;
- Setting up VMware ESXi OS or Vcenters.
Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Murray Hill, NJ may be permitted up to 40%.
