Who we are looking for

We are looking for a hands-on program manager with a strong technical background to help run the day-to-day operations of our Secure Configuration Management (SCM) program. This role requires someone who can manage across multiple workstreams, work closely with platform teams and stakeholders, and help keep the program moving forward. Prior experience working with IT infrastructure, compliance, processes, and configuration tools is highly preferred.

Why this role is important to us

The Secure Configuration Management program plays a key role in reducing operational risk and improving audit readiness across State Street. This position helps tie the pieces together – working with baseline owners, scanning teams, compliance leads, and engineering partners to make sure we are aligned, on track, and communicating clearly. You will also serve as a key point of contact for regulatory requests and internal reviews.

What you will be responsible for

Program Management & Execution

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple SCM workstreams

  • Track deliverables, timelines, and key milestones for team initiatives

  • Help surface risks, remove roadblocks, and drive consistent progress

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the go-to contact for audit teams, risk partners, and external regulators

  • Work with decentralized teams to align priorities and stay on target

  • Support leadership reporting and status updates

Process & Oversight

  • Work with baseline and scanning leads to make sure changes are implemented and tracked

  • Ensure updates, documentation, and escalation paths are consistently followed

  • Help connect the dots between strategic goals and execution

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills

  • Experience managing technical programs or large-scale IT initiatives

  • Proficient in managing day-to-day program activities, including setting priorities and allocating resources to align with strategic objectives

  • Ability to lead conversations with platform owners, risk teams, and senior stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex environment with competing priorities

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (i.e., Qualys, Chef Inspec, ServiceNow Configuration Compliance) and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS)

  • Expertise in ensuring program processes comply with regulatory requirements and organizational standards

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in configuration management, cybersecurity or technology roles with at least 5 years in a technical management role overseeing large complex programs

  • Experience in cybersecurity, IT risk, infrastructure, or audit- focused programs

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and secure configuration concepts

  • Financial services experience is preferred

  • Experience technology solutions such as M365, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow

  • CISSP certification is a plus

Work Requirement

  • Five day work week, M-F.  Minimum four days in office

  • 40 hours/week, 9am – 5pm.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $217,500 Annual
