As an Infrastructure Engineer at Mimecast, you will design, implement, and optimize secure, high-performance IT infrastructure solutions. This hands-on technical role offers opportunities for leadership and mentorship while driving modernization efforts for virtualized and physical environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Infrastructure Design & Deployment: Architect, deploy, and maintain virtualized and hyper-converged infrastructure for global operations.
  • Modernization Initiatives: Lead server upgrades and network enhancements to improve performance and security.
  • Security Management: Implement proactive patching, upgrades, and system hardening to ensure security.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage server maintenance, network switching (e.g., Juniper), VLANs, DNS, disaster recovery, and Active Directory.
  • Virtualization Strategy: Develop on-prem virtualization strategies with a focus on resiliency and disaster recovery.
  • Compliance: Audit systems for SOC, SOX, and PCI DSS compliance, ensuring secure access and data redundancy.
  • Vulnerability Management: Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Mentorship: Train and mentor colleagues to foster technical excellence.
  • Project Collaboration: Partner with project managers and leadership to validate compliance documentation.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and IT security policies.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years in infrastructure engineering, focusing on virtualization, network security, and compliance.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with virtualized/hyper-converged environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, and backup/DR solutions.
  • Networking Knowledge: Experience with network hardware (e.g., Juniper switches), VLANs, and enterprise networking best practices.
  • Compliance Skills: Hands-on experience with SOC, SOX, and PCI DSS frameworks.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.
  • Certifications: MS in Cybersecurity, CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Communication: Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
