We serve a broad mission of cross-cutting concerns of our platform: we are in charge of running the infrastructure, security and compliance, observerability, performance, platform architecture as well as the developer experience.
Thus our diverse set of problems require us to collaborate closely together and we frequently chat or jump on impromptu huddles to solve a problem or get each other unstuck. Our entire engineering team is distributed remotely across multiple (north american) timezones.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage our production and SLDC infrastructure
- Harden our security and compliance posture
- Manage and monitor health and performance our infrastructure
- Collaborate with and support cove's development teams
- Manage incidents and the response processes
- Participate and improve team ceremonies
- On-call rotation for the platform team (we're very sensible, we don't like to get woken up either)
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer
- Strong knowledge of at least one cloud hosting service preferably AWS
- Strong knowledge of security best practices
- Strong networking, routing, and security experience
- Strong knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi
- Experience with Bash and at least some other scripting language (e.g. Python, Javascript, etc)
- Some experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Github Actions
- Some experience Database deployments
- Some experience with Docker
- Experience with web/application servers, REST APIs, load balancers, and proxies
- Experience with datadog or other observability platforms
Salary range: $120-145k
