JOB SUMMARY
The Information Security Engineer II designs, implements, and administers information security solutions that support the enterprise. Develops and maintains secure information security systems, servers, applications, cloud services, and network devices. Conducts research and analysis of emerging threats, prepares technical documentation and reports, and supports the effective operation of the organization's security environment.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures that protect computer systems, networks, and information assets.

Oversee threat monitoring, intelligence analysis, threat modeling, incident response, and daily security operations.

Identify and define security system requirements to address an evolving threat landscape.
-
Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures, workflows, and technical documentation.
-
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems and applications.
-
Develop technical solutions and security tools that mitigate vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.

Perform daily maintenance of security systems and applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
-
Conduct advanced security analysis, digital forensics, and investigations.
-
Assist with internal audits to support compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
-
Drive the design and development of a strategic roadmap that advances the organization's security program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Broad hands-on knowledge of network and information security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, network devices and protocols, anti-virus software, data encryption, log management, authentication systems, and other industry-standard techniques and practices.

High level of personal integrity with the ability to handle confidential information while demonstrating sound judgment and professionalism.
-
Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, SSL, PKI, RADIUS, DNS, and routing and switching.
-
Experience streamlining processes through automation using PowerShell, Python, shell scripting, APIs, and JavaScript.
-
Proficiency with security technologies, including Check Point, Cisco ASA, Imperva WAF, Carbon Black, Forcepoint, Qualys, FireEye, Ping, and Splunk.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Security or an equivalent combination of education and information security experience required.

3–5 years of information security experience or 5–8 years of information technology experience.

SANS GIAC, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or similar security certification preferred.

Located and working from an office location when required.

Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
